The Alameda County Fair Junior Livestock Auction is traditionally held on the final Sunday of the Fair. 

(Listed below is the typical schedule of events on Auction Day. When 2012 Alameda County Fair dates are confirmed, we will update this page with 2012 Auction Date)

 Buyers are encouraged to enter the fairgrounds through Gate 12 off of Valley Ave, (just North of the Bernal Ave Intersection)

 Parking is available for buyers near the Red Gate entrance, at the VIP parking lot.

 The Junior Livestock Auction is held in the Sage Gilbert Memorial Show Ring in the livestock area, located to your left - just inside the Red Gate.

 Onsite Buyer Registration 7:30 - 8:30 am
(free coffee & donuts served to registered buyers)

Auction begins at 8:30

SALE ORDER (times are approximate):

  • Rabbits-8:30 a.m.
  • Hogs immediately following Rabbits

Lunch Break 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

(at this time the Auction Booster's serve their FAMOUS New York Steak BBQ – make sure to get your tickets before they sell out!)

  • Beef – (auction starts back up between 12:15 – 12:30 p.m.)
  •  Lambs – sold immediately following conclusion of Beef lots.
  •  Goats - immediately following Lambs
